Child Labour A Cause of Concern in Kashmir

A research study by British NGO, Save the Children, in 2003, entitled ‘Adphail Gulab’ (Unbloomed Roses), found 22,000 child labourers in Kashmir out of which 19,000 were working in carpet manufacturing units in the central district of Budgam and at least 2,000 kids were employed in automobile workshops in Srinagar.
