How a ‘Half Widow’ of Kashmir is doing menial jobs to support her Family

Half-widow is a term given to Kashmiri women whose husbands have disappeared and are still missing during the ongoing conflict in Kashmir. These women are called “half-widows” because they have no idea whether their husbands are dead or alive. Meema Akhter is one such courageous lady of Kashmir who is doing everything possible to meet the needs of her kids in her husband’s absence who disappeared more than eight years back never to return again.
