Unable to pay the Bribe these residents of a Shopian village were deprived of Concrete Lanes

The residents of this hilly hamlet of Qazipathri Shadab Karewa in Shopian district were left out from the development works by the local administration as the poor inhabitants of this area were not able to pay a sum of 10,000 rupees demanded by concerned officials as a bribe. Despite the funds allocated for the construction of concrete lanes in their area the contractor declined to take up the work. Musheer Ul Haq Manhas reports from Shopian.
