In the absence of a proper garbage dumping site, the authorities at one of the most famous health resort, Pahalgam Valley, in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district are now throwing the waste in the gorges of this scenic place. This also posses a serious threat to the ecology of this eco-sensitive area. Despite repeated pleas by the locals, the concerned authorities seem unmoved and the serene vales of this health resort are now emanating a foul smell much to the annoyance of the stakeholders and tourists as well.
