A seven year old boy, Hashim Mansoor of Bandipora district won gold in Asian Youth Karate Championship. Hashim won the gold medal by defeating his Sri Lankan rival. Bandipora Kashmir has emerged in news after 8-year-old girl, Tajamul Islam of Bandipora won gold medal in world kickboxing championship that was held at Italy. Without proper infrastructure and training, all these kids have been under direct training of a local trainer, Faisal Ali Dar. According to Faisal, ” we are getting hundreds of kids registered nowadays and the trend has changed,”.
