Residents of Dadoora, Pulwama are facing water crisis from last 3 decades. Water crisis in village made its residents to dug wells on their own expenses. A family has sold 3 sheep to solve the water problem. The entire village has only 2 working tube wells which are insufficient to feed a huge population. This village is only 2 km away from district headquarters and has a population of 1500 souls.

Village residents are facing negligence and official apathy. They were forced to find water for themselves. The local stream which has contaminated water is being also used by some poor people for drinking water. Water pipeline that has been laid down 30 years ago still runs without water.

“I am 56 year old now and in my life time, water problem was never resolved. I am requesting the government to solve this issue now”,says Abdur Rashid.
