On 17th July 2015, flash flooding hit Kulan Babapora in Ganderbal district in which 2 people were killed and various structures damaged. At least 250 structures including residential houses were damaged besides standing maize crop over 150 kanals of land has also damaged in the village. The local Primary Government school building was also washed away and waits for re-construction for a long time.
Our CC made a video report on it and took the matter to concerned CEO of Ganderbal, she was ensured that the issue will be resolved so that students study properly. The school has been cleared and renovated by the authorities and the students are now studying in the school.
