Rameez Raja – A Budding Cyclist Shines at National Level

Rameez Raja, a 20-year-old boy is a budding cyclist. Hailing from Razwen village which is 16 km away from district headquarters Budgam, Rameez did his schooling in Budgam only. He is now pursuing Bachelors in Physical Education and Sports from Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Punjab.

From a very young age, Rameez was inclined towards cycling. He used to do cycling for hours with his friends and with time he participated in different championships at the State and National level. After winning local events Rameez participated in State tournaments and won many medals.

He had participated in the national championship at Kerala, U.P, and Haryana in the year 2015, 2016 and 2018 respectively. Rameez won Gold in 23rd Road National Cycling Championship, held in Kurukshetra Haryana in November last year and was facilitated by J&K Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar for his medal-winning performance at Jammu.
