A carpenter from Kokernag, Abdur Rehman Paddar, was passed off as Lashkar militant Abu Hafiz and killed allegedly in a fake encounter by Jammu and Kashmir police’s, Special Operation Group (SOG) wing. He had disappeared on December 8, 2006 and was one among the victims of Ganderbal fake encounter which took place in district Ganderbal.
