Nadru | A Winter Delicacy of Kashmir

With the arrival of winter season, the farmers get busy in extracting the lotus stems locally known as “Nadru” from the Dal lake despite of chilling cold and minus temperature. The lotus stem (Nadru) is not mere a winter delicacy but for those living in the interiors of dal lake , its a source of income for thousands of people and it provides livelihood to many families.
