Krechapathri village in Shopian district was one of the worst-hit villages in 2014 Kashmir floods. After a year, our correspondent went to take stock of the so-called rehabilitation work claimed by the government but the ground situation was worse than expected. Nobody from the government had went to this village either to provide the relief or construct a safety wall or bund on the river banks keeping it vulnerable to floods in case of heavy downpour.
