Abdul Ahad of Gazriyal Kupwara was tortured by Indian Army in 2000 which left him disabled. He was tortured on several occasions by the government sponsored Gunmen, Ikhwan Group, and the police’s Special Task Force group also. His brother had allegedly joined the militant ranks after being harassed by the armed forces. Ahad has lost his eyesight and is unable to walk for long on his own leaving him unfit to work.
