With 150 students in a Govt middle school at Dudwan village of Kupwara, the things are bad, school building is in bad shape and students lack basic amenities like sanitation, toilets and have very tight space. In 2007 construction of 3 room building was started but due to unknown reason construction was stopped. The structure is incomplete since then and forcing the students to study in congested rooms. Students find it often difficult to study in the lack of proper space. On one side Govt is committed to improve the situation of school but at the same time these far flung schools reflect a terrible shape.
The school is at a distance of 1 Km from district head quarter Kupwara and is one of the oldest school of the area, established in 1966.
