65 year old widow, Mugli from Alam Gachu Budgam village was not provided old age pension fund by the Social Welfare Department for 3 years. Mugli had submitted her application form but she lives in a far flung area and could not afford to go to the office of the department usually. After following up with the concerned social welfare officer of Beerwah Tehsil, nothing was achieved and in the meantime she was transferred from Budgam.
Our CC Rafeeqa took up this matter with deputy commissioner Budgam. upon which the concerned DC directed Social welfare of Budgam to issue pension to the Mugli Begum. She now receives 1000 INR every month through Social Welfare Department.
