Two sisters, named Nahida Manzoor 23 and Roanak Manzoor 20 of Zewan Srinagar are mountaineer and Martial Art champion respectively. Both the sisters have started following their dream sport since their childhood and their parents have been very supportive and allowed them to follow their dream . Their father is a shopkeeper and mother a house-wife. They belong to middle class family and had to face various financial problems to achieve success.
Roanak is an international Martial art Champion who has represented India in Nepal and Malaysia and is also teaching Martial arts in schools in Budgam district whereas Nahida has climbed Mahadav Snow mountain which is at a height of 3966 Meters from Sea level.

Nahida has been selected for mountaineering expedition by National Cadets Corps (NCC), Srinagar which is sponsoring her to climb Mount Everest. She is the first girl from Kashmir to get selected for this course. The expedition would be held at Uttarakhand where Nahida would scale the 5,975-metre high Swargarohini peak. She believes the course will help her to prepare for climbing Everest. It is pertinent to mention that Nahida is the only Female mountaineer from Kashmir to expedite Mount Everest.
Nahida’s has got full support from her parents in pursuing mountaineering as a profession. However, her dream of becoming a professional mountaineer is full of hurdles as she cannot afford expensive hiking gear.
