Khan Mohalla, Manloo Shopian is just three Kilometers away from district headquarter and people here are facing multiple problems. There is no proper road, the electric wires can be seen hanging on tree branches and above all, the village is going through drinking water crisis. With approximately 20 households this village was promised back in 2010 that a road will be constructed but as of now those dreams seem very far from the reality on the ground. The power infrastructure which is in shambles is posing serious threat to the human life. On one side the government of India has been promising this region of development after the abrogation of article 370, but on ground it is easy to assess as how development looks like. This Community Correspondent reached out to the different government officials, and was assured that the issues will be resolved, earlier as well people have been filing grievances with the concerned department officials but to no avail.
