Several families in Ganderbal’s Kachama village allege that they were evicted from their farming lands by the local revenue authorities and their trees were chopped off. Families say that the laws are hardly imposed upon the people who have encroached state land and built business establishments, however, when it comes to common people who use the land for only growing food, they are attacked and evicted.
