Dairy Farm Business Creates Livelihood Opportunities

Shubham Bhat a 24-year-old Kashmiri started a dairy farm unit in his village Chowdarygund, located in the Shopian district. According to Shubham, he got interested in this business as milk adulteration has become a norm. Besides this, the business created livelihood opportunities. Shubham set up his dairy farm in 2020 with the help of the J&K animal husbandry department. Bhat began his business by procuring seven cows and right now he owns 32 cows, producing 250 KGs of milk in a day. He is a radiology student as well.
