IMPACT | Needy Family of Budgam Supported by Hundreds of People Through Online Campaigning

The family of Tariq Ganai of Budgam village had been in debt after their family business failed. They had incurred a loan of 10 lacs from the local bank and also from some of their neighbours; however after opening the dairy farm, the cattle contracted some disease, and most of them died, forcing Tariq to sell off the remaining ones for less cost. This made Tariq’s family bankrupt and brought a huge financial burden. Our CC was contacted by the locals of the village, and after making the video on this issue, we raised almost 6 lac rupees using the video on our Kashmir Unheard Facebook page; the video was watched by the 661K people – the people donated money into the account of Tariq, this is a good example of a successful campaign to raise money for the family and reflects the trust people have on KUs work and mission.
