High-density apple farming is a new change in the agricultural sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Shahnawaz khan a fruit grower from Pinjura Shopian has converted 40 per cent of his forefather’s land into new top work and high-density farming. This high-density farming enables a farmer to produce more crops and lower the risk of damaging orchards due to early snowfall and disease. Moreover, this farming enables a farmer to harvest it on time and balance the market values. Shahnawaz has fifty-plus apple varieties in his orchard.
