In Kupwara town the only public park constructed by Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department under Lolab-Bangus-Drungyari Devlopment Authority (LBDDA) in 2010 is in shambles. 20 lakh has been spent for the construction of the park which is encroached by general public. There is nothing done for security and maintenance of the park by Authorities.
Irfan Bhat, a local resident says, “Park has been encroached by public themselves while authorities are doing nothing for its security and maintenance”.
