Introducing new Vegetable varieties in Kashmir – An Inspirational Tale of Patalbagh Village

A hamlet namely Patalbagh in Pampore just five kilometers from tehsil headquarters is emerging as a significant producer for vegetables not only in Pulwama but in the whole J&K. Patalbagh area is turning to vegetable cultivation after witnessing a good profit in it. Around a hundred families of the hamlet have cultivated a pea crop on three hundred kanals of land, they sold peas for one crore twenty lakh rupees in the current year.
