In Chakarbatpora village of Budgam, the availability of safe drinking water has been a persistent issue for years. The contaminated water from streams and ponds posed a serious health risk to the population of more than 800 people. In order to raise awareness about this issue, CC, Tawheeda produced a video report highlighting the plight of the residents. After the video report was released, CC took the matter to the officials from the Jal Shakti department, who are responsible for the water supply in the area. CC raised the issue with them and followed up regularly with them since November 2022 to ensure that the problem was addressed. Finally, the persistent efforts paid off as the water supply was restored to the pipelines in the village. This development brought relief to the villagers who no longer had to rely on contaminated water from streams and ponds. The availability of safe drinking water is essential for the well-being and health of the population, and the efforts of CC and the officials from the Jal Shakti department have made a significant impact on the lives of the residents of Chakarbatpora village.
