Qazigund market used to be bustling with shoppers, mostly travellers, from the valley or into the valley some couple of years ago when the road link was the only option to travel to or from the mainland India. But since the train service was started, some two years ago, up to Banihal the number of travellers via road dropped to much extent taking a hit on the business of these traders in Qazigund market. A couple of years from now, these shopkeepers see closure as the only option as the new highway bye-passing this market will take away the remaining customers too. Sajad Shah reports from Qazigund
