Interview: Pervez Imroz, President JKCCS

Written by Sajad Rasool

This interview is part of a series of videos produced for the Jammu and Kashmir Coalition for Civil Society to accompany their report, “Structures of Violence: the Indian State in Jammu and Kashmir” which identifies the structures, forms and tactics of violence of the Indian State in Jammu and Kashmir.

The report studies the structure, deployment and violence of the armed forces in Jammu and Kashmir using case studies within an international criminal law framework. It is a continuation of the work that began in the 2012 IPTK/APDP report “Alleged Perpetrators: Stories of Impunity in Jammu and Kashmir” that named and indicted 500 alleged perpetrators of human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.

*International Peoples’ Tribunal on Human Rights and Justice in Indian-Administered Kashmir [IPTK] and Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons [APDP] are both constituents of Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society
