The authorities in this village of Bandipora are unworried about the threat to the lives of these villagers. Around 30 households in this locality are under a severe threat of getting electrocuted as the High Tension wire of 11000 volts passes over their houses. In the past also, this HT line has fallen on the ground couple of times resulting in death to several poultry birds and the kids escaping narrowly. Now the linemen are demanding a bribe of 20,000 rupees from a resident to shift this wire. Aneesa Hamid reports
