Danish, a Taekwondo player, who lives in Baramulla Kashmir, was being ignored by the authorities despite being a 15 times Gold Medal winner in different competitions at the state level. He along with other players of Taekwondo were being compelled to practice in the open with no basic safety equipment. After our Correspondent made a video story on the plight of this sport in Kashmir valley, not only the concerned departments provided them with the requisite equipment but Danish was called for National Taekwondo Championship in which he bagged a Silver medal, a first such achievement in Taekwondo sport by any Kashmiri youth.
