Khurwan Lake in Bandipora Becomes A Breeding Ground For Diseases – Aneesa Reports

Khurwan Lake was once known for possessing quality fish and lotus stem. It is a marshy lake and is situated in Baramulla district. This lake once was a source of good income for hundreds of local families. Since last few years, the lake has turned dirty as the drainage and sewage coming out of the villages is emptied into this lake and which has polluted it beyond repair. The pollution has led to intoxication of its waters now. Aneesa Hamid reports
