Fayaz, A Kashmiri Father of Three, Picked Up By Army Never To Return Again

Fayaz Ahmed Lone, a resident of Gadol Village in Kokernag of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district was picked up by the personnel of 33 RR unit of Indian army from his sister’s home at Zalangam back in 2002. He, along with other young men, was taken away by the army men for assisting them in search operations. While the others were let go only Fayaz was whisked away in a private vehicle by the army. Since then his family found no trace of him who went from pillar to post for seeking his whereabouts. A report by Shafat Mir
