Earlier the locals of SyedPora (Churpora) Budgam had to walk a long way to fetch clean drinking water. After reporting this issue our Budgam Community Correspondent met officials of Public Health Engineering Department and brought this issue in their notice. The officials took notice of this problem and ensured that action will be taken. Finally the safe drinking water is restored in the village after a struggle of seven months. Village recieved fresh lease of life after decades.
In this village women do most of the domestic work and had to walk to other village for water, various women had been injured in the past. Women of this village complain of back pain. Various young girls had to quite studies too.
