After the Killing Of Burhan Wani , a Hizbul Mujahideen Commander, widespread protests across the Kashmir valley erupted against the Indian rule. The State reacted with harsh curfews and ban on Internet and Mobile services which made the everyday life of common people miserable. Our Community Correspondent from Baramula meets a local business man and a student during the ban on internet services and seeks their opinion.
In the absence of Internet, People had no contact with their friends and family who are stationed outside Kashmir. Students couldn’t prepare for examinations and businesses incurred loses in millions. Since 8th July 2016 after Burhan’s killings internet was shutdown for about 4 months.
