Ghulam Qadir Khan’s family which includes his two children, wife and sister in law were killed on 7 February, 1998 after Indian Forces planted IEDs and blasted his home, according to locals – A resident of Chatragul Bala Kangan, Qadir Khan says that his brother Bahadur Khan joined militancy and went to Pakistan for which he and his family was punished by forces. “In this blast I lost my wife, two children and sisters in law, my only mistake was that, I was brother of a militant”, he says.
