Kanispora village located in Baramula district of J&K has been without electricity supply from last three months. As per locals the electricity transformer would often breakdown and was not fixed by the Power department. After making a video report on this issue our community correspondent from Baramulla, Mir Yaseen followed up with the concerned officials and got transformer repaired immediately. The village has a population of 1000 which is supplied electricity from this transformer.
“If after 15 days they install the transformer but within 2 days that breakdowns again. Now this time our transformer is functioning properly for one week,” says Ranbir Kaur, a local resident.
