JKSPDC (Jammu and Kashmir state power development corporation) daily wagers and casual employees are in protest against the state and have been asking the department to regularize them. One of such employee is Fayaz Ahmed whose left arm was injured during work. Employees blame govt of indiscrimination against them. According to employees, the junior officials have been regularized while they were dropped off.
Scores of daily wagers working in upper Sindh hydal project stage 2nd Kangan are on strike since October 2017.
“I am working here from last 18 years as a daily wage labourer and had met an accident during the work. I was hospitalized for 4 months and I myself bore all expenses for the treatment. I had been never provided any compensation”, says Fayaz Ahmad.
