Aarif Bashir of Kehribal Anantnag is a Sufi poet and compiled his poetic collection in 2015. The collection of poems was approved by the J&K Cultural Academy the same year. However, the soft copy for print has not been given to the poet by the Academy and has kept this collection unpublished. The poet alleges that some employees in the academy demand bribe.
Aarif had developed interest in writing poems during his early school going days. For past 16-17 years he has complied his collection of poems and all his collection is in Kashmiri language.
