Basit Mushtaq of Pinglena Pulwama is a budding sketch artist. A 20 year old young boy belongs to middle class family has developed love for this art since 2015.
Basit is doing Bsc but besides that he is a sketch artist. He has been learning this art from YouTube and internet as there is no such institution in our valley for such artists. Basit got the idea of this art when he saw a sketch of Harshali Malhotra (Child Actress), the kid who has acted in Bajrangi Bhaijan along with Salman Khan.
The first sketch which Basit draw was of Maqbool Bhat, who was a famous separatist leader. Since then he drew many such sketches and is also giving tutorial classes on his YouTube Channel about this art.
In 2018 on World Environment Day he won 1st place in painting competition at the Kashmir University, South Campus.
