Bilquees Ara Khan, a cancer patient set up a parlor in 1998 in Anantnag town when insurgency in Kashmir was on its peak. Despite the fact she received many life threats to shut down the business, she continued with her passion.
Post her breast cancer she had to face many problems, her husband left her because she couldn’t conceive. Her sister also got divorce due to family issues and Bilquees had to face all by her self. In this hard time she did not lose strength and became the back bone of her family. Bilquees focused on her business and overcame all this. Today she has the leading beauty parlor in South Kashmir.
