No Ration for Shepherd Community – One Nation One Ration Card Policy Fails in Kupwara

More than 500 people belonging to different grazing communities migrate to Badi Behak in Kupwara, around 50 Km away from Tanghdar town. These people are not being provided ration at the govt depo’s, instead, they are asked to travel to Tanghdar town to procure it. According to the One Nation One Ration Card policy, ration card holders can get their ration supplies anywhere, however, this community is been denied that right.
