A demolition drive in a tribal locality of Roopnagar Jammu was carried out by the Jammu development authority. According to JDA officials, 41 kamal land has been retrieved from what they term as ‘encroachers’. Twenty-five pukka and kaccha houses were demolished leaving 25 families homeless in this harsh winter. Politicians and activists claim that the government is has been having a biased approach and targeting the Muslim minority community.
