Locals in Jammu Protest Against ’Anti Encroachment Drive’ and Demolitions

On 4th of February 2023 anti encroachment drive was started in Jammu by the authorities. The drive started with demolition of MG Hector showroom. People from Sunjwan, Bathandi and Malik market protested over the demolitions. Meanwhile it is pertinent to mention that the government of Jammu and Kashmir has asked all Deputy Commissioners to start anti encroachment drives across Jammu and Kashmir. People allege that these selective drives are meant for harassing the common masses. These drives will will bring bad results in future, people reiterate.
