The primary school located Ghat-Gopalan Palhalan is submerged in water every year for 8 months as a canal is running through this area. The authorities have never taken initiative to redress this problem. The school is operated in a local persons courtyard. As per Rafiqa Begum, a local resident,”If it rains for day or two, the school gets submerged. Before constructing the school building we told authorities to raise the level of ground first, but they did not do so. Now school is often submerged. When it rains we have to shift the school belongings to rented room even in the middle of the night.”
“School building has been constructed in 2010. Although the building is good, but it is good for nothing. We run the school in local persons courtyard that also becomes problematic when it rains,” adds Mr. Mohammad Ismail, Teacher of the school.
