Iqbal Ahmad a youth from Beehama Ganderbal during the unrest was hit by a teargas shell which hit his hand rendering him handicapped with 3 of his fingers damaged completely. Iqbal was a student of 11th standard. He was part of a peaceful protest against the ban on Friday prayers in locality by forces.
“I want to become a lawyer but everything seems shattered now. I am not able to write with my right hand. My career has been destroyed,” adds Iqbal Ahmad.
As per Iqbal’s father, Mr. Ghulam Ahmad “His right hand thumb tip was mutilated and little finger was totally damaged due to teargas shell. In hospital his three fingers had been amputated”
