No application of Indra Aawaas Yojana in the Samba district where in a village under this scheme making of 26 houses was promised since 2013. The scheme is meant to provide money to the people living in utter poverty across India and help them in constructing a house. The administration has been promising of providing money to poor villagers but according to the officials due to the lack of funds under this scheme money could not be provided to locals. The village has 80 households out of which 65 live Below Poverty Line.
The Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Rural Development. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) households in the rural areas for construction of dwelling units.
