Water supplied to village Achgoza Pulwama is impure and unsafe for drinking. Water pipeline is around 20 years old and is supplying water to 125 households. This village is only 15 Km away from main town Pulwama. Residents of this village demand new pipeline and water reservoir, the road leading to this village is in terrible condition, electricity is worst. People pay bill against the filtered water but fetch water from local stream. This village is miles away from development.
Water, electricity and road are essential services that play a vital role in economic and social development. Government is should ensure reliable universal access of service under accountable regulatory frameworks.
