Javaid Ahmad, works in the Public health sector as a contractual data operator. Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, he has been on the front line like many thousand health workers. Working in the district hospital Shopian for the last 5 years, Javaid has volunteered to join the fight against the disease. Prone to the infection he has not seen his family in the last three months. Every day he attends dozens of distress calls, conducts tests, and works in the isolation ward with COVID positive cases. Javaid is one of the low paid workers. According to data, 600 health workers have got infected and 200 have died in the country.
