Aijaz Ahmed Thoker was marching with a peaceful mourning procession in Anantnag’s Akad area when he was shot dead by the ITBP men. He left behind two kids, wife, mother and an unmarried sister. He was the first civilian to die after Burhan Wani’s killing on 8th June. So far more than 80 people have died and around 13000 are injured in police and paramilitary firing in the restive state of Kashmir in the aftermath of local rebel leader, Burhan Wani’s killing.
