Abdul Qayoom Wangnoo, a driver working with Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department died in hospital after receiving fatal injuries in his head. His family alleges that he was beaten by paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force resulting in his death. A wrist watch with a tricolor inscribed on its dial was recovered clasped in his hand which did not belong to him as he never wore a watch. Qayoom’s brother, Shabir Ahmad Wangnoo, says his brother had snatched the watch while he was being beaten by CRPF men. A report by Nadiya Shafi
