Geeto Devi, 68 year old woman from Thakur Pur Grore (Sherpur) Kathua is not provided old age pension fund by the social welfare department. Geeto had submitted her application form 4 years back and could not afford to go to the office of the department usually. Her husband as well has been deprived of old age pension. This a unique example of how in rural Jammu the basic right is denied to old people and they are made to suffer.
