Irfana Zargar from Srinagar started an initiative to provide free sanitary napkins to needy women during COVID lockdown. The initiative is run under the name ‘Eva safety kit’.
I started this initiative in the memory of my deceased father, I provide a basket which contains sanitary napkins, sanitisers, napkins, hand-washes, and panties for women, this is a way to give them a sense of safety – says Irfana.
I felt very appreciated by women and menfolk alike. I am starting a helpline for women who cant afford such essentials – she maintains.
