On 20th July 2018, a lady namely Fareeda Begum, wife of Jalal-ul-din resident of Hilpatti area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district was admitted for operation at Trauma Hospital Kangan for family planning.
Family members of the deceased claim that post operation the patient was crying whole night due to pain but no Doctor were present in the night and only a few nurses were present in the hospital to treat the surgical patients.
“The doctor did not examine her even after the surgery and in the meantime, she developed unbearable pain which deteriorated her condition and when her sister went to see a doctor, she found no doctor in the hospital who could see the patient” adds family
Her condition deteriorated badly within 12 hours of the surgery and the doctors didn’t refer Fareeda to SKIMS Soura on time. It was only when she almost died they referred her to Skims Soura where doctors declared her brought died.
